Quote: As a pirate do you have majority of it a Blob Warfare?
Not 9 months ago, but since I came back 2 weeks ago, yes most of it has been blobish. anti pies blob, pies blob back, never ending spiral of doom, and I blame falcons also. I haven't played very much though seen maybe 2-4 fights. Been rather busy in RL.
Quote: How do you get the skill books and ships if most if not all are sold in empire space (.5-+ security)?
Skill books are sold in low sec, a hauler alt with over 15k m3 takes like 1 week to train. Getting BS to low sec is more of a hassle though. Unless you have freighter or corp to handle it.
Quote: Do pirates go after other pirates or is it a common understanding of neutrality for each other?
IMO other pirates should be seen as competition. You don't need more pilots hunting your systems.
Quote: Is it easier to make ISK from pirating or from doing industrial professions?
My non pirate activites easily yield me more then enough isk to pay for two accounts with GTCs (so more then 1200 mill in 2 months). Spending about 20-30min a day (so about 40mill per hour spent, you wont make that much isk pirating generally from month to month). Pirating when I was serious about it in the past has given me 900mill in only ranoms during 2 months, and the month before that I got a CNR in a mission with loot for more then 1 bill. Yes it pays of good enough to support one account and ships if you know what you are doing and still enough isk left to spend it on some extra goodies.
Quote: How do pirates make most of their income?
Ransoms (bring ship scanner). Probing mission runners is a good way of finding targets that are easily handled by you solo with rats help in dps. You can handle a missioning BS with a t1 cruiser if you are lucky.
Quote: What kind of ships (level wise, not actual race of ships) are used for pirating?
Rifter for belt piracy that is almost dead and doesn't yield much isk. Probe ship to find mission runners (t1 probe ships does work). I use an arazu to tackle mission runners and damp them so they can't fire back. But I think almost all common PvP ships are used for piracy. The best ones are those with something extra in the back pocket allowing you to score kills and ransoms you shouldn't. As an example I have ransomed a zealot in a celestis for about 80mill before nos and damp changes. I also ransomed several BCs in the ship and killed a sacrilege. There still ships around with almost the same potential.
One ship to rule them all, one ship to find them, one ship to jam them all, and in the darkness bind them.
